Gill Behenna, Chaplain among Deaf people in the Diocese of of Bristol was honoured by the Association of Sign Language Interpreters (ASLI) for her services to Sign Language Interpreting by being made FASLI (Fellow of the Association of Sign Language Interpreters. This prestigious title was awarded to Gill at ASLI's 25th Anniversary Conference in Bristol for valuable and outstanding commitment too the association and profession. Especially recognised was her outstanding work for Signs of God and for her example to others of working as a professional interpreter and her support and commitment to trainee interpreters in Church-based interpreting situations and to Deaf People.
